Mikroorganismen, insbesondere Pilze und Bakterien, spielen eine wesentliche Rolle im Boden, unter anderem als Destruenten beim Abbau von organischen Substanzen und als Symbionten für das Wachstum und die Gesundheit von pflanzlichen Partnern. Neben diesen Wechselwirkungen mit Pflanzen werden Bodenmikroorganismen durch Umweltveränderungen, wie Landnutzung und Waldbewirtschaftung beeinflusst. Dennoch ist der Grad mit dem einzelnen Faktoren auf die mikrobielle Vielfalt und Zusammensetzung wirken, noch nicht vollständig geklärt.


1.    Charakterisierung der Pilze die eine entscheidende Rolle in der Rhizosphäre im Grasland spielen und Erfassung von Faktoren welche ihre Diversität und Zusammensetzung beeinflussen.

2.    Untersuchung der Beziehung zwischen Pflanzenmerkmalen von Graslandarten, Landnutzungsintensitäten und dem Rhizosphären-Mykobiom.

3.    Erfassung des Einflusses von Buchenökotypen auf die Gestaltung von spezifischen Rhizosphären-Mykobiomen unter verschiedenen Management und Umwelt-bedingungen.

4.    Weiterführende Untersuchung von Landnutzungsintensität und Management-Effekten auf die Bodenpilz-Diversität und die Zusammensetzung der Pilzgemeinschaft.


H1: Die Artenvielfalt und Gemeinschaftszusammensetzung des aktiven Rhizosphären -Mykobioms im Grasland verändert sich in Bezug auf die funktionellen Pflanzengruppen und Bodenparameter.

H2: Unterschiede in der Rhizosphären-Mykobiom Zusammensetzung stehen in Zusammenhang mit der Veränderung von Pflanzenmerkmalen, Landnutzungsintensitäten und Umweltvariablen.

H3: Die Interaktion zwischen Pflanzen und Pilzen werden durch Pflanzenökotypen bestimmt.

H4: Landnutzungs- und Waldmanagementtypen haben einen Effekt auf die Zusammensetzung der Pilzgemeinschaft.

Die sogenannten Kernprojekte der BE gingen aus dem Projekt zur Flächenauswahl und dem Aufbau der Exploratorien (2006-2008) hervor. Sie stellen seit 2008 die Infrastruktur bereit und erheben für alle Projekte wichtige Basisinformationen zu Landnutzung, Diversität und Ökosystemprozessen (Langzeitmonitoring). Zudem sie koordinieren projektübergreifende Aktivitäten wie etwa verschiedene Grossexperimente.
